What next? What else can Democrats pull from their bag of tricks to try to defeat Donald Trump and Republicans in general as they work to undermine the 2024 election? That’s what I found myself asking after the 4-3 ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court to remove Trump from the 2024 primary ballot.
It’s been one thing after another—from Russian collusion, to two impeachments (including one after Trump was out of office), to numerous lawsuits, indictments, and arrests, to now 31 cases seeking to remove Trump from the ballot—with over a dozen still pending. The left is hell bent on stopping Trump by any means necessary. They have used lawfare and weaponized our government to go after those associated with him in any way. It’s tyrannical, and it’s showing total desperation by the left and the Democrat Party. You don’t have to like Trump to see what is going on here.
Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, blasted the ruling in a statement.
“Unsurprisingly, the all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against
President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an
election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump’s name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice,” To read more about the group behind the lawsuit with ties to George Soros, see here.
And it’s no surprise billionaire George Soros is involved. He’s been involved in everything that tries to undermine America and our laws.
Even those who aren’t supporters of the former president have disapproved of the ruling.
Democrat presidential candidate, Marianne Williamson, who is challenging Biden, posted on X saying, “No matter what we think of Donald Trump politically, he must be treated fairly by our justice system. Equal treatment before the law not only means that everyone is held
accountable, but also that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Trump has not been proven guilty of insurrection in a court of law, and a ruling based on nothing but that opinion is stepping onto a very slippery slope.” How refreshing to hear that from a Democrat.
In another post on X, Legal analyst Jonathan Turley said, “The Colorado Supreme Court has handed down the most anti-democratic opinion in decades. Yet, these justices barred voters from being able to vote for their preferred candidate in the name of democracy. It is like burning down a house in the name of fire safety.”

Trump has not been proven guilty of…

Four of the seven justices on the Colorado court used the 14th amendment, section 3 of the Constitution as the the reason Trump is disqualified from being on the ballot in Colorado. Again, Donald Trump has not been charged or convicted of violating the 14th Amendment. Due process is being thrown out the window. Even partisan special counsel Jack Smith didn’t charge Trump with insurrection when he had the chance.
And the 14th Amendment was written to keep Confederate officials from holding office. Think about that. Democrats are claiming that Trump is challenging and denying the election results, which Democrats themselves have done repeatedly for two decades leading up to 2020–see here and here and encouraging people to “peacefully and patriotically protest” at the capitol on January 6, 2021, is akin to being a confederate soldier guilty of sedition during the Civil War.
We know how this works. If you’re a Republican you are not allowed to challenge election
results, but if you’re a Democrat you can call presidents illegitimate and claim elections were stolen all day long without any repercussions (and it’s their 1st amendment right to do so).
So how should we respond? The Colorado Republican Party has said they will “withdraw from the primary as a party and convert to a pure caucus system if this is allowed to stand.” Others are suggesting removing Biden from the ballot in other states for creating chaos at the southern border and being derelict in his duty to protect America’s borders by not enforcing immigration laws (and signing executive orders to undo everything Trump did to secure our border).
Is this really the game Democrats want to play—removing political opponents from the ballot based on weak arguments when they haven’t been charged or convicted of anything they’re being removed from the ballot for? Is that what “Democracy” looks like?
I have a feeling this will backfire though. In fact, some Democrats are worried about the
ramifications. An NBC News article says some Democrats “fear it could boost him next November, too.”
Quoting from the article, “They’re pissed,” said a source familiar with discussions involving senior White House and Biden campaign officials. The decision makes it look “like Colorado is attempting election interference through non-elected Democratic-appointed justices with funding from ‘shady left-wing donors,'” the source said.
That’s because that’s exactly what it is.
The good news is lot is being exposed, and there are thankfully some people who fall on
different sides of the political spectrum who still care about the Constitution and rule of law—like the three dissenting justices in Colorado. We’ll see what happens with the US Supreme Court.
Let’s hope and pray for the sake of all Americans, that justice will prevail in the end.
