“I am endorsing Jim Piwowarczyk for Assembly because I believe he will bring strong conservative values to Madison. Jim is a staunch supporter of fiscally responsible policies, and his background in law enforcement will bring a needed perspective,” Henke said. “Jim has been fighting for strong conservative policies and principles for years through Wisconsin Right Now, and he has deep ties to the community.”

The district includes Hartford, Erin, Richfield, Lisbon, Merton, and Sussex. It has no incumbent.

Piwowarczyk was previously endorsed by Washington County Executive Josh Schoemann.

Henke, who was elected Washington County Treasurer in 2020, previously served as a Hartford alderman for three years, as Hartford mayor for 12 years, and as the Hartford Chamber of Commerce CEO for five years. You can read more about Piwowarczyk’s campaign here.

Piwowarczyk, who is supporting Donald Trump for president, is a lifelong conservative running on a platform of public safety, parents’ rights in schools, delivering tax cuts, and border security, among other issues.

Former legislator Don Pridemore is the other announced candidate in the race.

Paid for by Jim For Wisconsin.
