University of Wisconsin at Madison ranked 42nd on U.S. News top universities list

University of Wisconsin at Madison was ranked the top university in Wisconsin, according to a new U.S. News analysis that rated the school 42nd in the nation.

The 2021 list is the product of the U.S. News & World Report’s assessment of universities that offer undergraduate majors as well as master’s and doctoral degree programs. The analysis examined institutions of higher learning based on a variety of criteria, including academic quality, student-faculty ratios, graduation rates, faculty resources and the range of undergraduate majors.

The Madison school charges $10,741 in tuition and fees for in-state students, and its enrollment came in at 33,456, according to the publication’s 2021 ranking.
