Why isn’t Susan Crawford being honest with voters about her anti-Voter ID activism?
New reports say that leftist Madison Judge Susan Crawford won’t take a position on Voter ID.
But wait a minute!
She previously filed the lawsuit that initially got it overturned.
“I don’t take positions on issues that could end up before the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” Crawford recently and disingenuously told reporters.
BUT SHE ALREADY DID.

And she didn’t just take a position; she took action. Crawford sued on behalf of the League of Women Voters with attorney Lester Pines, arguing that the wildly popular Voter ID law was unconstitutional, according to Courthouse News Service.
As we reported on Jan. 5, Crawford, as a private lawyer, called the state’s Voter ID law “draconian” and fought to eliminate it. She almost succeeded, except the Supreme Court was conservative then.
Crawford is now running for a seat on the Supreme Court against former Republican Attorney General Brad Schimel, who is a Waukesha County Judge and former Waukesha County DA.
“I fought against Act 10. The draconian voter ID law,” Crawford bragged in a 2018 column in the Capital Times.
“This is a great day for the citizens of Wisconsin,” Crawford declared when the liberal Dane County judge struck down Voter ID, the Kenosha News reported at the time.
But now she won’t say?
We have taken the lead in scrutinizing Crawford’s record, including her weak sentences for sex offenders. See our reporting here.
