Craig & Stephanie Pearson: How to Help Their 4 Kids in Slinger

-

A double tragedy has struck four kids in Slinger, Wisconsin, but the community is pulling together to help them. Here’s how you can help.

First, their mother Stephanie Pearson died unexpectedly in 2019. “She was active at home with all four playing basketball, football, soccer and volleyball. She loved traveling with her family and her husband Craig,” her obituary said.

Now, their father Craig Pearson has died unexpectedly in May 2021 at age 40. “He proudly served active duty in the United States Marine Corps as lance corporal and performed multiple tours of duty overseas,” his obituary says.

Daren Sievers, superintendent in the Slinger School District, told Washington County Insider: “This is amongst the most tragic circumstances I have seen in my 26 years. My heart breaks for these four children and the immediate family. We will do anything and everything possible to support these children and the immediate family.” Neighbors and the school community have rallied around the kids.

The West Bend American Legion wrote on Facebook,  “Very sad. Craig was a Marine Corps veteran who served several overseas tours. Thank you for your service to our country. Craig’s wife Stephanie also passed away. They leave behind four children. Our heartfelt sympathy to Craig’s family.”

Here’s how to help the couple’s 4 kids.

How to Help the Craig & Stephanie Pearson Kids of Slinger

Scott Stortz, wrote on Facebook:

Not more than 18 months ago, the Pearson family suddenly lost their mother Stephanie, and as expected, our great Slinger community rallied behind her husband Craig and their four children. It is with great sadness that I humbly ask for your help once again. Tragically, this past Thursday, Craig unexpectedly passed away, just one day shy of his 41st birthday. A fund has been set up for the kids to help with the financing that will be needed for their housing, daily expenses, and future needs. Any financial contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and well managed. 100% of these funds will go directly to the children.

Contributions can be made via:
• Venmo: @PearsonFamilyKids (Lydia Royer) – last 4 digits of phone #: 2293
• Check to “Pearson Family Kids”
– P.O. Box 287, Slinger WI 53086
• Dropped off at any Chase Bank made payable to:

I would also ask that you consider sharing this post with your friends and families along with keeping Craig and Stephanie’s children in your prayers. ✝️
