Tesla CEO and free speech advocate Elon Musk is appearing at a Town Hall in Green Bay, Wisconsin tonight, with the state Supreme Court race looming. Read our story here rounding up the content of Musk’s speech.
Musk has been pushing Wisconsinites to elect conservative Judge Brad Schimel on Tuesday, saying control of the U.S. House (and thus Trump’s agenda) are at stake. That’s because many observers expect the Court to redraw the state’s congressional maps, if liberal Susan Crawford wins.

The rally was set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Right before that time, the liberal controlled Supreme Court rejected a legal filing by Democrat Josh Kaul, who wanted the court to stop Musk from giving two $1 million checks to Wisconsinites who sign his petition against activist judges.
The liberal justices, Jill Karofsky and Rebecca Dallet, also refused a demand from Musk’s lawyer that they recuse – even though both have openly campaigned for Crawford, Karofsky on Sunday. Liberals Janet Protasiewicz and Ann Walsh Bradley also ruled on the Kaul action despite openly campaigning for Crawford.
It’s not illegal to pay someone to promote a petition. Musk had earlier said he was paying people who voted, which is problematic under Wisconsin law, but he clarified and withdrew that comment.
