Jack Pitzo Endorsed by Former AG Brad Schimel for Waukesha County Judge

Former Attorney General Brad Schimel is backing prosecutor Jack Pitzo for Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Schimel’s endorsement adds to a long list of endorsements for Pitzo from top law enforcement officials like Sheriff Eric Severson and DA Sue Opper, as well as the Waukesha County Police Association. Schimel is the 8th Waukesha County judge to endorse Pitzo for the judgeship. See Jack Pitzo’s full list of endorsements here.

Pitzo is running for the seat of outgoing Judge Laura Lau, who has also endorsed him.

According to a press release from Pitzo’s campaign, The Pitzo for Judge campaign “continues to gain the support of well-respected trial judges as Waukesha County Judge Brad Schimel announced his endorsement of Assistant District Attorney Jack Pitzo for Waukesha County Circuit Court, Branch 12.”

“Jack Pitzo has proven himself an outstanding criminal prosecutor who exercises excellent judgment,”Schimel said. “I know him both in and out of the courtroom and he has the abilities, work ethic, and conservative values that Waukesha County wants in their
judges.”

Judge Brad Schimel has “decades of public service in Waukesha County and the State of
Wisconsin. Born and raised in Waukesha County, he was elected District Attorney in 2006 and served in that role until he was elected Wisconsin Attorney General in 2014. Judge Schimel currently oversees a civil case load as the Branch 6 Judge in Waukesha County,” Pitzo’s press release says.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of Judge Schimel for my candidacy for the
Waukesha County Circuit Court. The citizens and voters of Waukesha County know that Judge Schimel applies the law as it is written and prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of all citizens in our community,” Jack Pitzo said. “As a former prosecutor, he knows I have the skills and courtroom experience necessary to be a valuable addition to the Waukesha County bench and I am grateful for his support and mentorship.”

Jack Pitzo currently serves on the board of directors of both the Food Pantry Serving Waukesha County and the Waukesha County Bar Association. He graduated from Purdue
University with a Bachelor of Arts and received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School.
