Milwaukee Police are investigating a triple fatal crash that occurred early Friday morning, resulting in 3 more innocent women killed. That makes at least 6 people (and one unborn baby) killed this week alone by Milwaukee reckless drivers.
In the Friday deaths, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as 28-year-old Ebony S. Johnson, 31-year-old Lashonda Jackson, and 28-year-old Bobbie Latasha Nicole Dyson.
According to Milwaukee Police, early Friday morning at 2:14 a.m., on W. Florist Avenue at N. Sherman Boulevard, a Toyota traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on W. Florist Avenue disregarded the red flashing traffic light and collided with a white Nissan that was traveling south on N. Sherman Boulevard.
The impact of the collision caused the Nissan to strike a tree. The driver of the Toyota, a 23-year-old man, fled the scene on foot; however, he was later arrested and transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old, was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was transported to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries and later died. Two passengers of the Nissan, a 31-year-old and a 28-year-old, sustained fatal injuries.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
This comes after the fatal crash Thursday morning of Erin Mogensen, the innocent Wauwatosa woman who was killed by a reckless driver who was in a stolen car at the intersection of West Capitol Drive and North 100th Street. Frank Mosley Jr is suspected as the reckless driver in that crash.
Two fatal crashes occurred Sunday night in Milwaukee. Both crashes also resulted in fatalities in vehicles that were not at fault for the crashes.
One crash happened near 5th Street and Lapham Boulevard, just west of Interstate 94, around 11:35 p.m. According to TMJ4, family identified the victim as 54-year-old Genoveva Aguilar Arias.
Police said a vehicle was traveling south on the Interstate 94 off-ramp at a high rate of speed, went through the red traffic light, and collided with the minivan.
The driver, a 17-year-old male, ran from the scene, but later turned himself in and was arrested, police said.
The second fatal crash occurred at approximately 9:10 p.m., on the 200 block of N. 35th Street. A vehicle (Unit #1) exiting the freeway at a high rate of speed collided with a curb, lost control and struck another vehicle (Unit #2). Unit #1 rolled and struck a utility pole. Unit #2 collided into a building. The driver of unit #1, a 57-year-old man, was arrested.
Three passengers of unit #1, a 45-year-old, a 39-year-old and a 36-year-old, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. The driver of unit #2, 27-year-old Vivek Palyal from Oak Creek sustained fatal injuries.
