The name of Preston Kite, the Racine County Sheriff’s Deputy accused of exposing himself on duty, child sexual exploitation, and possession of child pornography, appears on the Vos recall petition even though he was incarcerated on the date it was signed, Wisconsin Right Now has documented.
Forgery is a crime in Wisconsin.
The Kenosha County Jail says he’s been in custody since 2/4 and is on a hold from another agency.
He’s listed as signing the Vos recall petition on 2/27. Kite’s actual home address is listed with the signature but, again, he’s been in the custody of the Kenosha County Jail since 2/4, we’ve confirmed with the jail itself.
The circulator was Lavelle Hester Bey of New York. Hester Bey appears to be a songwriter.
The address on the petition matches Preston Kite’s address on CCAP.
There’s a reference on CCAP to Kite being given the chance of house arrest, but we doublechecked with the jail whether he was ever released on house arrest. They said, no, he’s been in custody In the jail since 2/4.
The inclusion of Kite’s name on the petition comes after the Vos recall petition effort disintegrated in spectacular fashion, falling short by more than 900 signatures (if Vos’s old district boundaries are used) and by far greater numbers if his new district boundaries are used. That’s according to numbers released Monday by the Wisconsin Election Commission, which found that thousands of signatures listed municipalities not in Vos’s district.
That’s not all. There are at least five alleged forgeries among the batch.
