This is the first in a series of stories on the Robin Vos petition signatures.
A local CEO and Army veteran says his signature was forged on the Recall Vos petition papers.
“Just learned that my signature was forged in the recall for @repvos. Tomorrow morning I’m calling the DA,” Sam Wahlen wrote on X. He is a first Lieutenant in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, according to his LinkedIn page.

We found Wahlen’s name on a page submitted to the Wisconsin Election Commission. The circulator’s information is almost impossible to read.
Wahlen’s bio reads, “Banker. Author. Chairman & CEO of Hyperion Holdings, Inc. #ArmyStrong. Proud of our great country and hopeful for a brighter future.” His posts indicate he is conservative.
His Facebook page says he lives in Yorkville. He also wrote on X, “Having reviewed the signatures, they are embarrassing. Should be very easy to challenge.”
His LinkedIn page reads, “Experienced Business Banker with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. My focus is on developing, growing, and assisting businesses in South Eastern Wisconsin. I was born and raised in Racine, but left for a few years to get my degree in Economics from Marquette University. I am passionate about my community and excited to see it grow. Several years ago, my book on economic develop & microlending was published.”
We tried to reach Wahlen at Hyperion but there was no answer.
The recall organizers are a group of failed candidates. The recall page openly admits collaborating with Democrats. Some of the organizers admit they are not Republicans.
