President Donald J. Trump will travel to Waukesha, Wisconsin, on May 1 “to contrast the peace, prosperity, and security of his first term with Joe Biden’s failed presidency,” according to a press release from Trump’s campaign.
The rally will be at 2 p.m. at the Waukesha County Expo Center, 1000 Northview Road, Waukesha. General admission tickets are available. You can get tickets here.
This will be Trump’s second appearance to Wisconsin this month. He was in Green Bay on April 2. Trump has been prevented from hitting the campaign trail under threat of arrest by a Biden-donating judge in Manhattan. It’s expected that the Waukesha rally will occur on a day that Trump does not have court in New York; it will be his first rally during the trial, in which a Soros-funded, Democratic prosecutor is using a novel legal theory to try to jail the likely Republican nominee during a heated presidential election campaign. Trump has repeatedly calling the prosecution election interference.
The latest Marquette poll shows Trump surging to a lead over President Joe Biden in Wisconsin, where people are struggling with inflationary increases. Biden was in Madison on April 8.
“The people of Wisconsin are bearing the brunt of Biden’s bad policies. At 18.8%, inflation is stealing $920 per month from the average Wisconsin household,” Trump’s release says. “Thanks to Biden’s war against American energy, Wisconsinites are paying record prices for electricity and gas.”
“Biden was dishonest when he promised to ensure an America ‘safe from crime and looting,’ as 2023 marked the deadliest year for Wisconsin police in two decades,” the release from Trump says. “Biden’s weak border policies caused a crisis, with illegal immigrants and criminals funneling deadly drugs into Wisconsin communities which saw a record number of opioid deaths during the Biden presidency. Biden’s failures are crushing the citizens of Wisconsin.”
Trump noted: “The bottom line is that the Badger State is suffering under Biden, and President Trump will once again deliver safety and affordability to Wisconsin! Together, we can Make America Great Again by securing the nation’s borders, reclaiming our place as a world leader, bringing peace through strength, and rebuilding our people’s wealth by driving down inflation.”
