If You Want to ‘Save Democracy,’ the Clear Choice is Donald J. Trump | WRN VOICES

Ty Bodden

This is an opinion piece by Wisconsin state Rep. Ty Bodden

At the DNC, Kamala Harris stated that in 2020, “Donald Trump tried to take away your vote.” How ironic that Democrat voters did not vote for their nominee for President this year. The Left has been saying for years that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy, but the record shows that Democrats need to take a good look in the mirror.

Kamala Harris never received a single delegate in 2020 because she was so unpopular. Joe Biden’s cognitive decline has been known for years, but the Democratic Party and the mainstream media covered for him and let him run until the very end so the Democratic elites and operatives could select their candidate. How is that democratic? How is that not a threat to democracy?

Michelle Obama’s speech at the DNC was full of hypocrisy. She said, “We don’t cheat others to get ahead. We don’t get to change the rules so we always win.” Democrats, you have to realize that you are being played.

On X, Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein had this to say about that quote: “Stop the gaslighting. Right now, the Democrats are trying to sue us off multiple state ballots, hiring spies and infiltrators to sabotage us, and even withholding public funds we qualified for months ago. Democrats ABSOLUTELY cheat and change the rules to maintain their grip on power.”

The Democrats are fighting to keep candidates off the ballot. Isn’t that a threat to democracy? They have sued to keep RFK Jr. off the ballot and have done everything they can to keep Trump from running. The Democrats do not want an election; they want a selection, and the lawsuits, along with the unelected Kamala Harris, are proof of that. Are Democrats really okay with that?

In the recent fall primary election in Wisconsin, Democrats were lying to voters through texts, direct mail, and ads, claiming that voting “no” on the two referendum questions would keep the checks and balances in government—just more lies and gaslighting. How is giving the governor sole discretion on spending federal funds for whatever their agenda may be good for the democratic process when voting “yes” would have allowed the democratically elected representatives to have a say in where funds are spent with approval from the governor? That is democracy! Democrats and independents need to take notice.

Lifelong Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has dropped out of the presidential race in key swing states and has endorsed Donald Trump for President. Doesn’t that tell you something? The party of JFK is long gone. RFK Jr., in his endorsement speech, stated that Kamala Harris has not appeared in an unscripted interview or discussion with voters in the 35 days leading up to that point. Do Democrats not value hearing directly from their candidates anymore and understanding their ideas and vision for the country? Why isn’t she there to answer the tough questions? Donald Trump has agreed to debates with CNN and ABC, but why won’t Kamala agree to the proposed FOX News debate? Does she not want to be a president for all people, or will she just serve the DC elite? And why is she wanting to change debate rules all of a sudden?

RFK Jr. stated that he and Trump do not agree on a lot of things, but the things they do agree on are where they can work together. They want to unite America and save democracy. If you want to end chronic disease, have safe food, protect our children, and save democracy, the clear choice is Donald J. Trump, and it’s not even close.
