According to ABC 6 and online court records obtained by Wisconsin Right Now, this is Wallace Jr.’s criminal record:

  • He had a pending case for “allegedly threatening to shoot a woman and her house up,” ABC 6 reported. Here’s the court record:
  • In 2017, he pleaded guilty “to robbery, assault, and possessing an instrument of crime after kicking down the door of another woman and putting a gun to her head.”
  • In 2013, he pleaded “guilty to assault and resisting arrest after punching a police officer in the face.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that police were called “dozens of times” for “problems” at Wallace’s home, including twice before the shooting incident.

The Inquirer reported that Wallace “had been in and out of court for nearly a decade, with convictions for crimes including resisting arrest and robbery…city judges routinely sought to get him mental health treatment.”

Police have said they are still trying to determine what officers knew about Wallace before they responded to the house. They received “31 radio calls since May” relating to Wallace’s address, some involved “reports of a person with a weapon, threats, or assaults, the sources said,” the Inquirer reported.

They were called to the house for a report of a man with a knife, according to the newspaper.

“Responding officers witnessed a male on the block. Immediately they noticed he had a knife in his possession and he was brandishing it, and waiving it erratically,” said Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp to CBS Philadelphia.
