Wisconsin’s Largest Law Enforcement Group Endorses Brad Schimel

-

Wisconsin’s largest law enforcement group has endorsed Judge Brad Schimel in the Wisconsin Supreme Court Race.

“The Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA), the state’s largest law enforcement group, endorsed Judge Brad Schimel in his bid to save Wisconsin’s Supreme Court,” Schimel wrote in a press release. “Serving over 10,000 active and retired law enforcement members, WPPA’s endorsement is the most significant endorsement in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race to date. This latest endorsement adds to the growing bipartisan support Brad Schimel has received from members of law enforcement, including over 80 Wisconsin Sheriffs.”

Wisconsin Professional Police Association President Niki Nelson said: “Brad Schimel has spent his career standing up for victims, supporting law enforcement, and making sure that dangerous criminals are held accountable.”

Schimel is running against leftist Madison Judge Susan Crawford. Wisconsin Right Now has taken the lead in scrutinizing her record of going light on child molesters and other violent criminals, as well as her liberal ideology – she filed lawsuits seeking to overturn Act 10 and Voter ID. Crawford also represented an Israeli Big Pharma company tied to the opioid epidemic. And she worked for Democrat Gov. Jim Doyle when he presided over the early release of prison inmates.

“With over 25 years as a prosecutor, Brad has shown a steadfast commitment to keeping our community safe and adhering to the rule of law regardless of politics… He has consistently demonstrated the courage and leadership we need in our justice system… As Wisconsin’s largest enforcement group, the WPPA is pleased to join more than 80 sheriffs from across Wisconsin that support Brad Schimel,” Nelson said.

Schimel, a former Republican attorney general and Waukesha County Judge said: “There is no endorsement that could mean more to me than this one. For 25 years as a prosecutor and then four as Attorney General, I’ve gotten a behind-the-scenes tour of the work that these brave men and women keeping our community safe do, and I’ve gotten to see the honor, integrity, hard work, and sacrifices they make. I’m proud to have these individuals stand with me. They also had a chance to see behind the scenes for me too. They got to see what I did when there weren’t cameras running and when there wasn’t anyone paying attention – that I put the people that I serve first. I put protecting community safety first, and they got to see that in me.”

“There’s no endorsement I could be more proud of than from the largest organization in Wisconsin representing those brave men and women on the front lines to keep our community safe. I’m very grateful for this endorsement, and I promise, as I did many times over the years, I will never let them down.”
